European Youth Card Association


The European Youth Card Association promotes youth mobility and information for young people through the issuing of the EURO<26 / European Youth Card.

The EURO<26 / European Youth Card is a key for young Europeans to information, mobility, culture and participation. Through a range of services, discounts and advantages, the EURO<26 / European Youth Card encourages young people to make informed life choices, explore their world, and play a full part as citizens of Europe in today's society.

Structure of EYCA
The European Youth Card Association (EYCA) represents 62 youth card organisations, in 41 European countries, issuing the EURO<26 / European Youth Card to over 4.3 million young people aged under 26 or under 30 depending on the national organisation (for more information please click here).

EYCA was founded in 1987. The EYCA Office is based in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Objectives in the field of Youth Information Services
EURO<26 / European Youth Card provides young people with youth information through different channels: annual guides, magazines, newsletters, and helpdesks. In their communication the EURO<26 / European Youth Card underpins the European dimension of young people's lives and the European opportunities available. Projects such as Youth Builds Europe, EYCAdemy, and Europe for a Change seek to engage young people themselves in the creation of media, campaigns and research tools to further disseminate information.

* www.euro26.org: One pan-European website for the cardholders of the EURO<26 / European Youth Card
* Websites: Over 40 EURO<26 national/regional websites throughout Europe
* Magazines: 20 EURO<26 magazines with a circulation of approx. 2,5 million
* Newsletters: electronic and/or print newsletters bringing national and regional info
* New Technologies: developing communications tools such as SMS text alerts, viral clips
